Adam Tarshis

CEO, Mozza Foods
Adam Tarshis is the CEO of Mozza Foods, leading the development of molecular farming to produce dairy-identical proteins in plants. With a background in molecular biology and software engineering, he applies a systems-driven approach to biotechnology. His team is pioneering the production of full casein micelles in soybeans, enabling scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable dairy alternatives. Adam’s vision is to transform the food industry by making plant grown animal proteins functionally and economically equivalent to animal-based products, unlocking new possibilities for sustainable food production.

He brings a successful record of building businesses from the ground up, having grown PDG Consulting, the software engineering firm he founded, to over 100 engineers with offices in Los Angeles and Mumbai.


Adam has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also focused on molecular biology, researching programmed cell death in B-Cell Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
