Helga Angelina Tjahjadi is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder of Green Rebel, Asia’s leading food tech startup specializing in sustainable protein using natural ingredients. Through products such as tempeh and mushroom-based protein, Green Rebel offers economical proteins that are tasty, healthy, and planet-friendly.
A champion of a plant-forward diet, Indonesia-born Helga spearheads Green Rebel’s growth and expansion within Indonesia and beyond, working with dynamic teams in markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, and The Philippines.
Within the five years of operations, Green Rebel has partnered up with more than 2,000+ food service outlets including IKEA, AirAsia, Starbucks, Marriott Group, Sodexo Indonesia and 500+ modern retailers.
Helga and her husband Max also launched Burgreens in 2013, offering localised, healthy comfort food familiar to the Indonesian palate such as Rendang and Satay. Today, Burgreens is Indonesia’s largest plant-based restaurant chain.
Helga graduated from Arnhem Business School in the Netherlands and is certified in Nutrition Science from Stanford Medicine. She has been featured in Forbes 30 under 30 Asia and is an Eisenhower fellow.
