Dr. Dave was born in India. He did his B.S. and Master’s in Dairy Science from India and holds Ph.D from Victoria University, Australia. He came to the US for post-doc research at Utah State University and decided to stay in the US. He served as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at South Dakota State University before joining Great Lakes Cheese Co. After working for nearly 3 and half years with the cheese company, he made a move to Nestle, where he worked as Renovation Manager, Product Development Manager in their application group before becoming a Department Head of Product development for their global Product Technology Center for Ice cream. He then joined Califia Farms where he was Senior Director of Product Development and helped them commercialize several plant-based dairy products. Rajiv has recently joined Climax Foods as VP R&D. He has over 44 peer-reviewed publications to his credit, filed 4 patents, and made numerous posters and oral presentations. He is passionate about plant-based food and is on a mission to create delicious plant-based dairy alternatives.
