We're pleased to welcome Louis Dreyfus Company to Bridge2Food North America 2026. What made this the right event for Louis Dreyfus Company to join this year?

Bridge2Food North America 2026 comes at an exciting moment for Louis Dreyfus Company (or LDC) as we expand our presence in the plant-based ingredients market with our recently opened pea protein production facility in North America. We see Bridge2Food as a valuable opportunity to showcase our pea protein solutions, exchange insights on emerging consumer and market trends, and build meaningful partnerships that accelerate innovation in plant-based nutrition.

The recent launch of your own pea protein production facility marks a significant milestone. What does this development signify for Louis Dreyfus Company’s broader growth strategy in plant-based ingredients?

The opening of our pea protein production facility in Saskatchewan, Canada, represents a major step in LDC’s strategy to grow its portfolio of value-added food ingredients and strengthen its position in plant-based nutrition. By combining our agricultural expertise, proprietary processing technology and application know-how, we are able to offer customers high-quality, clean taste pea protein solutions designed to meet evolving market needs. It also reinforces our commitment to building an integrated and reliable supply chain, supporting customers with scalable, high-performing ingredients that deliver excellent nutrition, functionality and sensory performance across a wide range of food and beverage applications.

Bridge2Food North America 2026 brings together leaders from across the entire food innovation ecosystem. Which conversations and partnerships does Louis Dreyfus Company aim to advance at this year’s event?

We are looking forward to engaging with food and beverage manufacturers, brands, formulators and innovation partners who are focused on developing the next generation of plant-based products. Our discussions will focus on addressing key industry challenges such as taste, texture, nutrition, functionality and supply reliability. We are particularly interested in collaborating on applications including beverages, dairy alternatives, nutrition products and other high-protein foods where ingredient performance is critical. Through these conversations, we hope to identify opportunities for co-development and help our partners bring differentiated, consumer-relevant products to market more efficiently.

As global population growth increases demand for high-quality plant proteins, what practical solutions can Louis Dreyfus Company offer food manufacturers to help meet long-term nutritional needs?

LDC supports food manufacturers with pea protein solutions that combine strong nutritional value with the functionality needed for successful product development. Our pea proteins provide a minimum of 82% protein content, a remarkably clean taste, creamy mouthfeel and excellent versatility across applications, helping manufacturers create products that consumers enjoy while meeting protein nutrition goals. Backed by an integrated supply chain, application expertise with our R&D center in Livermore, California, and a production facility in Saskatchewan, Canada, we work closely with customers to develop scalable solutions that support long-term growth in plant-based food and beverage innovation.
